Help Preserve & Document Midwest Narrow Gauge History

About

MNGPS was started by a group of individuals who wanted to preserve the narrow gauge railroad history in the Midwest that has slowly been slipping away from the media and public eye.

Projects

We currently have two major projects we are working towards as time and funds allow: the Fort Madison & Northwestern Ohio Falls Boxcars and the Des Moines & Minnesota Jackson and Sharp Coach. As we grow, we hope to be able to take on more projects!

Donate

Please consider donating to our organization so that we can follow our mission of preserving Midweste Narrow Gauge equipment and history.

After a series of storms ripped through Iowa, some of the members had to reattach the tin roof panels on one of the boxcars. We are currently in the process of locating a building that would allow the boxcars to be protected fro outside elements, and be a home base for their reconstruction.
